Boulder, CO, United States
From Minnesota to Maine to the sunny land of Boulder, CO, I have been competing as an athlete all my life and been working as massage therapist for six years now. Helping athletes with greater recovery, bounce back from injury faster, and helping one's body perform at it's best is what I aim to do. My love for sport, training and helping a body feel good and perform at it's best has driven me into a career in massage therapy. I strive for nothing less than the best...let me help you reach greater heights.

- that Tracy and I didn't ruin the turkey's this year!

- Skype- anyone who travels as much as I do I am sure feels the same.

Turkey Day in Canada

Happy Thanksgiving to you all! I am in Canmore Alberta right now skiing...on snow! I arrived here on Sunday. Canmore is a great place to be a biathlete or Nordic skier. We train at the venue from the 1988 Calgary Olympic Games, which is just up the road. We are on all man made snow right now. It is good skiing though which makes me very happy.
From what I can tell, this area is pretty friendly to Nordic sports and has a great support system and interest throughout the community. I always appreciate that. It is fun to see so many youth, junior, masters and others taking advantage of the venue.
Training has been going well. It's been pretty basic at this point in time, just getting use to being on snow again. I'm happy to say it feels good!
Here are a few photos of the area. Hope you enjoy!

Skinny skis

Today I had the privilage of visiting two classes at Hilltop Elementary School here in Caribou, ME, Mrs. Boone's second grade class and Mrs. Belyea's kindegarden. They are both awesome classes and enjoyed sharing more about biathlon and cross country skiing with them. . I am looking forward to keeping in touch with all of them throughout the winter through this blog! Until then, think snow!

An Olympic Challenge

David and I had the privledge of talking with four 8th grade health classes this morning at the Caribou Middle School. They were a great bunch and we had a fun time. They challenged us with a number of questions which we tried to answer as best we could. We also had a challenge for them, which I would like to extend to you! Can you name all of the different Winter Olympic sports? Do you know how many there are? I will give you that, there are fifteen.
I was pretty impressed with what each of the classes came up with. The most any class named was thriteen. Congrats to Mr. Deprey's 4th period for coming up with the most. Their photo is displayed at the left. All the classes did a great job and many thanks to all of them for playing along with us and letting us come into their classes today. We had a great time and hope to see each and every one of the students on the ski trial this winter!
And for all of you who are still trying to name all the sports, check out the Vancouver Olympic website at: www.vancouver2010.com to find the answer. The website is a great place to learn more about each sport and look at the event schedule for the Games in Febuary. You can even watch a video on the mascots for the Games. Check it out.
cheers, BA
